POI: How to add points of interest to Desnav (POI, Hotel, Speedcam..)?
Visit www.poiplaza.com to download points of interest (POI's), then follow these steps;
1. Unpack the files you've downloaded from www.poiplaza.com
2. Copy the unpacked files to the following directory on your device or memory card:
* All POI's imported to Desnav are imported as "Favorites"
3. Run Desnav and go to the "Favorites" menu
4. Click on the "Favorites" import icon
5. Select the files you want to import and click on the tick to confirm this action
You can change your "Favorites" (imported POI's) visibility in the following menu:
Settings -> Map -> Favorites
You also have the option to be notified when approaching your "Favorites" (imported POI's) in the following menu:
Settings -> Alerts -> POI Alerts

Serial Number: Where do I find the trial or my full version serial?

If you purchased Desnav and did not receive your serial within 48 hours, then please follow these steps;
1: Click here to be redirected to your serial key manager
2: Under the E-mail" column, click on "send" to have your serial resent to your email box

Screen Resolution: Which screen resolution does Desnav support?
Supported Screen Resolutions:
- 1024*600 & 600*1024
- 1024*768 & 768*1024
- 1280*720 & 720*1280
- 1280*800 & 800*1280
- 320*240 & 240*320
- 400*240 & 240*400
- 480*320 & 320*480
- 640*480 & 480*640

Destination: The "Destination" option is disabled..
* This section applies to Windows CE and Windows Mobile devices
When the "DESTINATION" option is disabled, this is usually caused by maps not being loaded or serial number related issues. Here's a few checks to perform to resolve this problem;
Step 1 - Verify if the maps are correctly loaded:
1: Select "Menu"
2: Select "Options"
3: Select "Map"
4: Select "Map List"
If the maps appear in the Map List then this part is fine, if no maps appear then you'll need to reload these by running the Desnav Wizard (download the installer by clicking here). You'll need to connect the memory card to your computer and run the Desnav installer, select the maps you want to download and click "Install". Our wizard will download the maps and copy these onto the memory card, once completed, remove the memory card and connect it to your navigation device and run Desnav.
Note: If you're using a trial serial then you may download any map but if you purchased a full version serial for a specific country or region, then you'll need to select the correct maps from the Desnav Wizard in accordance with your serial.
Step 2 - Verify that your full version serial is activated:
1: Select "Menu"
2: Select "Options"
3: Select "System"
4: Select "Serial Numbers"
Invalid serials such as trial serial which have expired will appear with a red dot, valid serials will appear with a green dot. The first step is to delete invalid serials if these appear in the "Serial Numbers" menu by clicking on the trash icon (3rd icon at the bottom left). Now you need to verify if your full version serial appears in the list, if it's in the list then it should have a green dot at this stage. At this point you should close Desnav and reopen it so that your full version serial is used by Desnav during the loading stage. Now retry accessing the "Destination" folder, you should be able to access it without further issues.
If your full version serial does not appear in the "Serial Numbers" menu, then you'll need to enter your full version serial to Desnav and activate it on the system. You simply need to click on the "+" symbol (2nd icon at the bottom left), then enter your full version serial and follow the onscreen instructions to activate your serial.
Note: If the above fails to resolve the problem, then we strongly recommend formatting the memory card, running the Desnav Wizard on your computer and reinstall Desnav onto the memory card. In this case and when prompted to add your serial to Desnav, you should insert your full version serial and not the trial serial.
POI: How do I save my position as a favourite?
To save your position as a POI/Favourite:
1: In map view, click on the car icon until it changes to "Map browsing mode" (see page 17 of the user manual)
2: Touch your position on the map, a circle will appear on the map (blank spot on map)
3: Click on the circle icon under the "-" symbol (on the right)
4: Select "Save Point" followed by "Save as favourite"
5: Rename the point by clicking on it
6: Click on the tick at the bottom right-hand corner to save
Serial: Can I use my serial on multiple devices?
Unfortunately not, each serial is locked to a particular device once it's been activated. The serial cannot be replaced or cleared to be used with new hardware (tablet/phone/headunit etc..), you will need to purchase a new full version serial if you wish to use Desnav on another navigation device. Unfortunately the same applies to lost, damaged or phones/tables that are being replaced, you will not be able to use your serial with your new hardware.

Traffic License: "map version is not supported"
When this error message appears, please double check that Desnav is configured to use the Navteq and not the OSM maps. You may verify which map you've selected to use with Desnav by following these steps; MENU->OPTIONS->MAPS->MAP LIST
* If you have more than one map for the same country (e.g. Navteq & OSM maps for France), then you should select the Navteq map instead of the OSM map
Trial Serial Not Working: Wrong Code & Other Issues..
The trial serial does not work on all devices especially if it's a Chinese navigation system. Reason being that certain information which should be unique to each device is not and instead, replicated over a wide range of mass produced hardware.
If you're able to run Desnav to the point where it asks for the serial number, then Desnav will definitely work on your hardware and a full version serial will work.
Of course we understand that you'd like to use the trial to test Desnav and in this case we suggest using our Android version (assuming you have a phone or tablet running on Android) which will allow you to use the free 7 day trial. Simply visit Google Play from your Android device, search for "desnav" and install it as you would install any other app.
You may then test Desnav and decide if you'd like to purchase the full version serial for your Windows Mobile/CE device (assuming that your original question is related to Windows Mobile/CE).
How to import a route into Desnav?
To import a route into Desnav (.gpx format), we'll use a planned route from Brno to Trest (Czech Republic) as an example;
1: We've planned a route from Brno to Trest (below image route_web.png)
2: The route to the GPX file (below file route_web.gpx)
3: Copy the route_web.gpx file to the DesnavRoutes folder
4: Start Desnav and go to Destination -> Route Planner
5: Import the route (route_web.gpx) by clicking on the import folder icon
